The joy inside
Some days I wish I could properly explain the joy I have inside me that comes from knowing Jesus.
I really wish that all the people I know who don’t know Jesus could walk around with this feeling inside them for two weeks. It would be life changing and they wouldn’t want to go back.
Why do I have this joy? Here are a few of the reasons…
1. I know that at any time of the day or night I can stop and talk to the creator of the universe and He hears me.
2. I am not alone in this life. God is always with me wherever I go.
3. My past wrongs have been completely forgiven and I have started afresh. That is a huge load of baggage gone.
4. My eternal destiny is sorted. The Bible tells me that because I know and love Jesus my eternal destiny is with Him.
5. I know God has made me a certain way for a purpose. I am not here by random chance. I have a great job to do.
6. I have the joy of connection with other people who love Jesus too.
7. I have a great peace in knowing that God holds my future. Both in this life and the life to come.
These are just some of the reasons why I love being a Christian and love knowing Jesus. The joy inside me overwhelms me sometimes and I just can’t contain it.
I really can’t encourage you enough to take that step of asking Jesus into you life if you haven’t already done so. It will be the start of a great journey which brings peace, purpose and a great joy.
